Season 40 – Something Old, Something New

Piedmont Chamber Singers will explore old and new musical settings of texts with works by Mendelssohn, Duruflé, Gjeilo, Barber, and Lauridsen as well as commemorating the historical significance of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation with J. S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 80, Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott. The concert will also feature a collaborative performance of Dan Forrest’s “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” with church choirs of the Winston-Salem community.

Piedmont Chamber Singers will end the season with a 40th anniversary celebration! The choir will celebrate old and new favorites from PCS history, including the first piece sung on the first concert forty years ago! We’ll also premiere a new work by composer Daniel Gawthrop and feature the works of several Winston-Salem composers.

Parking at First Presbyterian is available to the north and south of Second Street as well as in the Cherry Street parking deck. Click here for a map.
