Dr. Wendy Looker

Dr. Wendy Looker is the Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Guilford College, where she teaches courses in Conducting and Music History and directs the College Choir and Chamber Singers. A native of Buffalo, New York, Looker holds the Doctor of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, the Master of Music degree in Conducting from the University of Michigan, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.

In 2010, Dr. Looker was appointed Artistic Director of the Piedmont Chamber Singers. An avid singer, she has performed with the Bel Canto Company and the Greensboro-based early music vocal ensemble, The Kensington Consort. She is a member of ACDA, NCCO, Chorus America, and the College Music Society. Dr. Looker resides in Kernersville with her husband and their two young daughters.
